Snow

Silently the snow falls
in twilight's temple.
Moonlight illuminates
the path
as I walk into the winter forest.
Each tree stilled
hushed
in silent reverence.
The earth offers you prayer
as it rests beneath your blanket
of pure, white sanctity.
Blessed are you
in your solemn
loveliness.

Bringing Life into Balance

Sometimes life just takes the upper hand
spoiling the peace and serenity
that I strive so hard to maintain

I'm trying really hard
to bring my life into balance
but I need a moment to catch up
a few moments to catch my breath

I know that
with every act of grace
every moment of kindness
that we show ourself
we are nurturing the divine

We are the temple of light
that can bring strength and peace
into our life
if we only choose to recognize
and nourish ourself

I will bring that balance into my life
I will nourish myself as I work in this world
I will allow my own inner light
to strengthen me.
